Pinoy Pork Barbecue


Pinoy pork Barbecue are marinated sliced of pork speared in bamboo skewers and grilled to perfection. Here is the Ingridients and how to cook.


Ingredients:

2 lbs. pork, sliced
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup lemon juice
½ cup banana ketchup
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoon brown sugar
8 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped


Instructions:

  1.    Combine Pork, soy sauce, lemon juice, ketchup, salt, ground black pepper, brown sugar and chopped garlic in a mixing bowl then mix the ingredients well. Make sure that all the ingredients are properly distributed using your hands in mixing the ingredients.
  2.    Marinate the pork in the mixture overnight. Make sure to refrigerate the marinade to avoid contamination. If in case you are so eager to grill right away, allow at least 1 hour for the meat to absorb the flavors.
  3.    Skewer the sliced pork using a bamboo skewer.
  4.    Grill the pork until both sides are done. Use the leftover marinade as basting sauce. Try adding a few tbsp. of soy sauce, ketchup and cooking oil to create the perfect basting sauce.
  5.    Serve with vinegar and onions. Share enjoy eating!

Chicken Afritada Recipe


Chicken Afritada is a stew of pan fried chicken pieces and tomato sauce with some potatoes and bell peppers.  It was most likely adapted from a Spanish dish like Pollo Guisado. Please enjoy this simple recipe.

Ingredients:

2 lbs. chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 large size potato, quartered
1 large carrot, sliced
1 large bell pepper, sliced
1 cup green peas
8 Oz tomato sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 pieces hotdogs, sliced
1 medium onion, diced
1 ¼ cups chicken broth or stock
2 pieces dried bay leaves
1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
4 tbsp. Cooking oil
Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1.       Pour in cooking oil in a cooking pot or casserole then apply heat.
  2.       Pan fry the chicken until the color turns light brown.
  3.       Remove the chicken from the cooking pot.
  4.       On the same cooking pot, sauté garlic and onions.
  5.       Put in the sliced hotdogs and pan friend chicken then cook for a minute.
  6.       Pour in tomato sauce and chicken stock the add bay leaves. Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
  7.       Add the potato and carrots then simmer for 10 minutes or until the vegetables are soft.
  8.       Put in the bell pepper, green peas, salt, sugar and ground black pepper the cook for 5 minutes.
  9.       Turn off heat then transfer into a serving plate.
  10.   Serve with steamed rice. Share and enjoy!

Pork Asado Recipe


Pork Asado is a sweet pork dish like the Chinese barbecued pork. I love this dish because it was sweet and really delicious that children love and like it.

Ingredients:

1 ½ lbs. pork
1 teaspoon five spice powder
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cooking rice wine
¼ teaspoon salt
1 to 2 cups water

Instructions:

  1.    Combine soy sauce, five spice powder, garlic, cooking rice wine and salt then mix well.
  2.    Marinade the pork in the combined mixture for at least 1 hour.
  3.    Heat the cooking pot then put in the pork along with the marinade and water then let boil.
  4.    Add the brown sugar and stir to distribute evenly.
  5.    Simmer for about 40 minutes flipping the meat after 20 minutes or so to tenderize the other side.
  6.    Turn off the heat and remove the meat from the cooking pot.
  7.    Allow the meat to rest for about 10 minutes the slice.
  8.    Transfer to a serving plate and top with the thick sauce then server.
